I'm not sure why these wheels are getting such a low rating here. I have a set of Shadows and I really like them. They are my outdoor wheels, and they roll right over small rocks, twigs and other assorted crap on the paths where I skate. When I was first skating, I used them for everything, and they were great on slicker surfaces (like the polished concrete at my team's practice venue). They are too grippy to use on grippy floors (at least, if you want to go fast). I have had my Shadows for a year and although all of the outdoor skating I have done has worn the treads off them and made them a little less grippy, they're still great outdoor wheels.
